Capturing the 2025 Gridlife Circuit Legends at Lime Rock Park

This year’s Gridlife Circuit Legends at Lime Rock Park, Connecticut was nothing short of unforgettable. As motorsport photographers, both myself (Hashira Daily) and my good friend Treize Kursonada set out on a journey that would be as much about the culture and community as it was about the cars on track.

What is Gridlife?

For those new to the scene, Gridlife is more than just a motorsport event—it’s a celebration of car culture. It blends competitive racing, time attack battles, drifting showcases, car shows, and music festivals all in one. It’s the type of weekend where you can smell tire smoke in the morning and hear live music at night, surrounded by enthusiasts who all share the same passion.

The Journey to Lime Rock Park

Coming from Scranton, Pennsylvania, the drive to Lime Rock Park took us through winding scenic highways of the Northeast. It’s not just a trip—it’s a prelude to the experience. The roads themselves hinted at the kind of adrenaline-filled weekend that awaited.

Upon arrival, parking was surprisingly smooth for such a large-scale event. Lime Rock staff and Gridlife volunteers guided us quickly, making the entry process hassle-free. We had booked a nearby hotel in advance, which turned out to be a smart move since accommodations fill up quickly during Gridlife weekends. The bonus? Being close to the track meant we could maximize every minute of shooting and spectating.

Why Early Attendance Matters

We made it a point to arrive early each day, and the benefits were clear. Early access gave us the freedom to pick out the best shooting locations, capture pit prep shots before the action began, and meet fellow media and drivers before the crowds grew. Morning light over Lime Rock Park’s rolling hills was simply stunning—perfect for photography.

Media Meeting & Friendly Vibes

Gridlife media coordination was on point. The media meetings were smooth, straightforward, and highlighted safety while still encouraging creativity behind the lens. What stood out the most was how friendly and welcoming the Gridlife team was. As a photographer, that level of respect and collaboration goes a long way. It made the entire weekend flow effortlessly.

The Track & Layout

Lime Rock Park is legendary in its own right. Its 1.5-mile circuit packs in seven corners, each with its own character. For photographers, the Uphill, Big Bend, and West Bend offer breathtaking vantage points for capturing speed, drama, and car control. The rolling hills and natural scenery make this track one of the most beautiful in the U.S.—and it truly shines when filled with the noise and energy of Gridlife.

The Events On Track

From time attack battles to wheel-to-wheel racing, there was no shortage of adrenaline-pumping action. The drift sessions brought tire smoke and sideways precision, while the track battles had fans on their feet. Off-track, car shows, meetups, and community hangouts kept the energy alive all day. Everywhere you turned, there was something to capture—fast cars, excited fans, and the raw essence of car culture.

My Personal Takeaway

As photographers, Treize and I left the weekend with memory cards full of action-packed shots, but the pictures only tell half the story. What really stood out was how stunning the venue was, how smoothly Gridlife ran the event, and how welcomed we felt by the entire Gridlife community. It didn’t just feel like work—it felt like being part of something bigger.
